GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - A 15YR. OLD GIRL WAS SHOT THIS AFTERNOON ON GRAND RAPIDS' SOUTHEAST SIDE
Police responded to reports of the shooting at the corner of Elliott Street and Willard Avenue SE around 2:20 p.m. Monday. The girl was rushed to a nearby hospital. Her name has not been released.
Grand Rapids police reported they found two suspects -- a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy -- not far from the scene. The two boys, who have not been identified, were taken into custody, police said.
Detectives have not released what they believe happened leading up to the shooting.

MAYWEATHER & PACQUIAO FIGHT IN JEOPARDY OVER DRUG TESTING
Is the highly anticipated mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in jeopardy? According to their camps, it very well could be.
According to a press release from Mayweather's camp, Pac-Man's promoter Golden Boy Promotions informed them that the Filipino fighter is refusing to comply with Olympic style drug testing 30 days before the fight, because of superstition.
Mayweather's management has requested that the tests be done to ensure fair play and sportsmanship by both fighters. Manny isn't budging.
Golden Boy Promotions Richard Schaefer was contacted by Top Rank President Todd duBoef Tuesday, who informed him that Pacquiao would not agree to have his blood taken within 30-days of the bout based his own beliefs.
"Todd told me that Pacquiao has difficulty with taking blood and doesn't want to do it so close to the fight," said Schaefer. "He, Pacquiao, would only agree to have blood drawn before the kick-off press conference and after the fight."
Olympic style drug testing involves random sampling of the athlete's blood and urine prior to and after the fight. The USADA procedure includes both blood and urine sampling so that all banned substances, some of which do not show up in urine alone, are tested for thoroughly.
Mayweather's camp says they're surprised by Manny's refusal.
"It is unfortunate to hear this from Manny Pacquiao's representatives, particularly since, as of today, both parties had worked out all other issues related to this fight," said Schaefer. "Team Mayweather is certainly surprised that an elite athlete like Manny Pacquiao would refuse drug testing procedures, which Floyd has already agreed to and have been agreed to by many other top athletes such as Lance Armstrong, and Olympians Michael Phelps, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant."
After hearing the news, Mayweather says Pacquiao may have to explain himself immediately or be faced with accusations from the media and the public regarding his own status as a clean and drug free athlete.
"I understand Pacquiao not liking having his blood taken, because frankly, I don't know anyone who really does," said Mayweather. "But in a fight of this magnitude, I think it is our responsibility to subject ourselves to sportsmanship at the highest level. I have already agreed to the testing and it is a shame that he is not willing to do the same.
"It leaves me with great doubt as to the level of fairness I would be facing in the ring that night," he continued. "I hope that this is either some miscommunication or that Manny will change his mind and step up and allow these tests, which were good enough for all these other great athletes, to be performed by USADA."
At press time, Pacquiao had yet to comment on the situation

T.I.'s LAWYER CONFIRMS RELEASE FROM PRISON
XXLMag.com has learned that T.I. was released from prison this morning (December 22) and will be admitted into a halfway house in his hometown of Atlanta, later today.
XXL spoke with Tip’s lead defense attorney in his federal gun case, Steve Sadow, who confirmed the news. “He was released this morning from his place of incarceration in Arkansas,” Sadow said. “As I understand it, he’s on his way back to the Atlanta area. He has to report to a halfway house in Atlanta sometime this evening. And he will then spend somewhere between the next two or three months in a halfway house, ending his Bureau of Prison sentence.“
According to Sadow, T.I. will have a lot more freedom under his new living conditions. “A halfway house is more along the lines of a residential dormitory,” he explained of the rap star’s new stipulations. “You live within this house that is broken into areas for living, and you are permitted to leave during the day for certain reasons of which would be employment, medical reasons, things of that nature, and you return to the halfway house in the evening. So it’s a restriction on your liberty but it’s a way for you to reenter into society and not be confined within a jail type institution 24-hours a day.”
T.I. has been serving time in Arkansas’ Forrest City Prison since May 26, for possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as firearms from a convicted felon. He is expected to be finished with his federal sentence in March of 2010.

FLAVOR OF THE DAY: OUTDOOR TRAINWRECK
Most people I talk to always comment on trainwreck being one of their favorite strains. After trying this Outdoor Trainwreck, I can definitely agree with them! This strain really does make you feel like a train hit you.
Strain: Outdoor Trainwreck
Type: Sativa Dominant
Pros : Powerful High
Cons: Mostly Heady
This strong sativa really is a punch to the face with a head-concentrated high. On top of this, it doesn’t leave the body heavy and slow. At first glance this bud doesn’t look like a rock star, but you will notice nice, long hairs that are covered in crystals. The sweet skunky smell also stuns the nose. And the light green colored leaves just makes it a great bud to gaze.
The high hits quickly in the face & head area and stays there for about two hours. I would also recommend some eye drops for this high, might experience some dryness or itchiness. The effects are pretty straight forward – smacks you in the face and stays there. The body isn’t really affected except for sporadic spots on the feet.
It took me a while to become a fan of trainwreck, but this strain has changed my opinion entirely. This mid-range bud sure does the trick when in search of a well-rounded sativa, it has exceeded expectations.

In this part, he talks more about his drug game past, Jay-Z namedropping drug dealer Rich Porter, and his opinion on Paid in Full…all while they sat in front of the school where Rich Porter’s younger brother was kidnapped (which was depicted in the movie Paid in Full.)

I can understand how the players in the real life story can feel like a movie manipulated their truth for the sake of Hollywood. That seems to be the case very often. Like the movie American Gangster was accused of blatantly bending facts too. But….as a viewer with half a brain watching Paid in Full; as “glamorous” as the heyday kinda sorta seemed, by the time the movie was over, I was pretty clear on how the lifestyle was a dead end. I guess some folks can’t be trusted to make that leap, but then I think they’ve got bigger problems than these movies.

The industry insider estimates that the ATL trap star’s new LP, The State Vs. Radric Davis, will move around 85,000 to 90,000 units in its first week on shelves. White Widow is one of the most famous cannabis strains in the modern era. I have only come across this strain twice and both times it has really done the job. This indica and sativa hybrid is a great all around bud that gets you lifted quickly and heavily.
The White Widow bud has a great coloring with long hairs covered in many large crystals. This all adds up to one potent strain and, obviously, sets the standard for all other ‘white’ marijuana strains.
The effects from this top-quality herb are extreme. The buzz is powerful and energetic, yet social, leaving you feeling somewhat energized. The taste is divine and very sweet. A must for anyone who thinks they are a true strain connoisseur!
Most people automatically assume that kush’s are the best strains around, but beware of the mighty White Widow. A mid-priced bud that is sure to hit the spot and then some.

One thing I have to say about this Sour Diesel is don’t under estimate it! For only $20 a gram this is a powerful sativa/indica breed. Sour diesels have always been a crowd pleaser and now I know why.

Pros: Intense head/chest high
Cons: Short lasting
Rating: 8.0/10
The leaves are sticky with a heavy dusting of crystals. The purple isn’t very evident but the green is nice and intense in each bud. There is a medium-high skunky smell. Right from the smell you know this strain has something to prove. It hits hard in the face and stays in the chest area and lasts for at least a good hour and a half. This bud packs a powerful punch so be careful. However, I recommend putting on some beats sit back, and let it do its job! I greatly enjoyed this strain and for the price it is a solid purchase. You definitely can’t go wrong with this find. If spotted, grab it!
